URL

Any web server which is accessible over HTTP or HTTPS can be configured as a datasource in PixelBin. This allows you to use PixelBin's real-time image optimization and transformation features on all existing images.

Configure Datasource

1. After entering basic details for the datasource, choose the URL from the set of datasource types.
2. Fill out the base URL, for example, if your current image URL is https://www.example.com/rest-of-the-path.jpg, then enter https://www.example.com as the base URL.
3. Click Save.

Whitelisting

Make sure that your web server is accessible from the public internet so that requests from PixelBin can reach it.

We do not start copying files from your storage as soon as you add the datasource. Instead, we will fetch the particular image when you request it through the PixelBin URL endpoint. The images accessed from this origin will not appear in your Storage library.
